Who am I?

Hello word! I am Syed, welcome to my home on the internet! I live in Ireland and studied Computer Science with a specialisation in Cyber Security.

Currently, I am employed at a Cyber Security Consultancy firm in Dublin as a full time Senior Security Consultant. I am primarily focused on Application and Infrastructure Penetration Testing, and currently cultivating my skills as a Penetration Tester, Cyber Security Consultant and a Security Researcher. My main interests reside in attack simulation, purple teaming as well as in application and infrastructure security. My current research is focused on x86 Assembly security, debugging windows binaries, understanding Portable Executable structure to enable backdooring and bypassing Antivirus mechanisms, researching protection mechanisms and using creative and lateral thinking to achieve expanded view of standard vectors.

Why did I create this?

I envision this web portal to serve as an eclectic mix of ideas that might be lost while flipping between projects and interests.

I have been interested in computers since the age of 10; computer games, operating systems and how computers were built always fascinated me. That is the reason why I decided to peruse Computer Science and later on branched into a more specialised Cyber Security industry. I’m a strong believer of diversity, hence will share some of my other interests such as new cooking styles attempts (and their relevant recipes), a bit of my generic advice (with a pinch of salt), and articles about productivity and career.
